Moira met with Dr Melanie Gobel to discuss welfare of the vets who experience natural disasters, animal distress and all that is associated with veterinary care. Check out www.nomv.org.
During this programme we also discussed stray dogs in Sicily where we interviewed Bridgette Moncado who has set up an animal sanctuary for all the stray dogs on the road or abandoned in plastic bags. During this call Moira surprised Bridgette with a donation of kennels and food from Kevin Attard, Passa Acqua and Noah's Ark that will be sent to Catania, Sicily.
The latter part of the programme included Kunsill Nazzjonali Zaghzagh and this years discussion for under 17 years old was about animal rights and sustainability at a national level.
