Evan Fournier Practice Interview | Celtics vs Nets
  • 3 years ago
Evan Fournier was interviewed after the team concluded practice on Saturday afternoon. Boston has a shot to even the series against Brooklyn on Sunday at 7PM, and TD Garden is expected to be fully packed and ready to make some noise. When asked about playoff crowds, Fournier said "Well, I think that homecourt advantage is big for that reason. Playing in front of your fans and really getting a boost...it's real....I think it was 5,000 people last night? And they were really loud...17 [thousand], I can't even imagine...I always thought about playing in front of huge crowds like that...honestly, I'm extremely excited."
On his role, getting more comfortable, and playing off of Jayson Tatum, Fournier said "Well, feeling pretty good. Honestly, I always have the same approach each game. Take what the defense gives me, try to be aggressive with what I have, just be myself, and there's gonna be opportunities out there. Obviously, tomorrow I think we can expect a little bit more double team on JT, and the rest of us are gonna have to make the most of that...just trying to play the right way."
