Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta is staging world dance premieres at Britain's Birmingham Royal Ballet to welcome audiences back after the "nightmare" of the pandemic lockdowns. The ballet's 47-year-old director says that he wants to connect with the audience again, after a lockdown period that "has been a nightmare for everyone".
