Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on May 27 paid floral tribute to India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary. Pandit Nehru was born on November 14, 1889, in Uttar Pradesh’s Allabahad (Prayagraj), went on to become the first Prime Minister of India. Nehru breathed his last on May 27, 1964 at the age of 74 in Delhi after a heart attack. His contribution to the freedom struggle of India continues to be unforgettable.
