Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne on May 26 said that fugitive Mehul Choksi who has been found in Dominica will be repatriated to India. He later added that Antigua will not accept him back where Choksi has legal and constitutional protection as citizen.

“He (Mehul Choksi) was found in Dominica that he may have entered illegally, possibly by boat so Dominican Government is cooperating with Antiguan and Indian governments. Mr Choski will be deported from Dominica. Requested PM Skerrit and law enforcement in Dominica to not return him (Mehul Choksi) to Antigua where he has legal and constitutional protection as citizen. We have requested that he be detained and to make arrangements with Dominican Government to have him return to India,” said PM Browne. : Antiguan PM Gaston Browne in an interview to ANI.
