Australian diplomats have been barred from the trial of Australian citizen Yang Hengjun. The 56-year writer, and former employee of China’s State Security Ministry, is being tried for espionage. The Australian Government is increasingly frustrated by the way he’s been treated, labelling it a case of “arbitrary detention”.
