Emmetsburg, Iowa manufacturer Skyjack has announced it will temporarily layoff nearly all of its 100 employees.
The company, which makes scissor-jack work platforms, is blaming the layoffs on reduced orders, lowered product demand, and a seasonal downturn.
General manager Mike O'Hara said employees will still work one week a month which will allow them to keep their insurance while collecting unemployment benefits.
