Covid-19: Medical assistance from Russia arrives in India

Medical assistance of Remdesivir vials along with Sputnik and Sputnik light from Russia arrived in Delhi on May 25 to help India combat the Covid-19 pandemic that has put a strain on the country's medical infrastructure. The Russian Deputy Chief of Mission Roman Babushkin said, “Sputnik light is a single dose vaccine. It’s distribution in India would be very helpful to ensure vaccination of large number of people in a short period of time and it would boost immunity very quickly.” “The next batch of Russian Communitarian Assistance to India comprising of more than 10 metric tonnes vital of anti Covid-19 medicines is very important in terms of outcome and fight against the coronavirus pandemic,” he added.
