As Cyclone Yaas is likely to intensify into a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’, Balasore Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy informed that evacuation is being done at vulnerable areas. “We're focusing on the evacuation of people from low-lying areas. 1,200 centres to be used as shelters have been sanitised due to the Covid-19 situation. We have health teams deployed at these centres. Power restoration and road clearance teams deployed,” said Collector Balasore.
