Kolkata Eastern 2 BN NDRF Commandant Gurminder Singh on May 24 informed that NDRF has deployed 35 teams in North Bengal and 33 in South Bengal, as a pre-emptive measure for Cyclone Yaas. Commandant Gurminder Singh said, “As a pre-emptive measure, NDRF has deployed 35 teams-2 in North Bengal & 33 in South Bengal. We're shifting some teams from North 24 Parganas to west, which may have a large impact.”
