Miko x Naginata x Sword in a snowstorm

This is a video of Takizawa Dofu-sensei using a naginata and a sword in Miko(a shrine maiden consecrated to a god) costumes.
But she is a man.
(He is sexually normal.)
Of course, Miko costumes are not originally used in Tenshinryu, but Tenshinryu includes naginatana as a Tonomono(外物).
*Tonomono(外物)
A general term used in Japanese samurai martial arts schools for the teaching of techniques other than the core techniques, such as techniques of other schools and techniques against other weapons, as well as the knowledge and techniques required in various situations, including daily life.
Today, the Naginata has a well-established image as a female armament, but it was originally a male armament, as Benkei has it.used in warfare, and it is said that the naginata was the mainstream weapon with a long handle until the spear appeared after the Kamakura period (1185-1333), when the Hoko (Old shape spear) was discontinued in the Heian period (794-1185).
(Naginata are not as cost effective as spears, and require more skill.)

Tenshin-ryū hyou-hō is a Japanese Traditional Martial Arts which was created by Master Tokizawa Yahei about 400 years ago.
Tenshinryu derived from the corps of shadow to protect the Tokugawa shogunate which is called “Shilin Dan (the population of samurai)”.
They served Munenori Yagyu. Munenori Yagyu has devised a lot of “Kata (techniques)”.
Tenshinryu originated from “Shinkage ryu ”. Yahei integrated the techniques of Shinkage ryu and techniques created by Munenori into Tenshinryu. Tenshinryu is handed down as a sword of samurai to serve to the castle which was called “Joshi no Ken”.
