भारत (India) में कोरोना वायरस (Coronaviurus) के बाद म्यूकरमाइकोसिस (Mucormycosis) यानि ब्लैक फंगस और अब व्हाइट फंगस ने चिंता बढ़ा दी है. बिहार की राजधानी पटना में इस नए फंगल इंफेक्शन के कुछ मामले सामने आए हैं. पंजाब, राजस्थान समेत कई राज्यों ने पहले ही ब्लैक फंगस को महामारी घोषित कर दिया है. ऐसे में व्हाइट फंगस के नए मामलों ने सरकारी और मेडिकल स्तर पर चिंताओं में इजाफा किया है.
