Solomon Islands begins rollout of Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccine

Solomon Islands has become the first country in the Pacific to roll out the Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccine – and the first in the world to use it as part of its national COVID-19 response. Australia has also been a key player in the Pacific, pledging thousands of doses of AstraZeneca to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Timor Leste.
