There has also been a sharp increase in cases of mucoramycosis (also known as black fungus) in the country in the midst of the Kovid-19 epidemic. It is a type of rare fungal infection, which doctors consider to be fatal just like cancer. The government and health organizations are actively working towards preventing this outbreak. Health experts say that the death rate due to mucoomycosis can be between 50 and 60 percent.
