David Warner’s manager James Erskine on Monday said his client David Warner, Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft were ‘treated despicably’ by Cricket Australia while they investigated the 2018 ball-tampering episode. “The report that was done, they didn’t interview all the players. The whole thing was so badly handled, it was a joke. But eventually, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, will come out, and I know the whole truth,” Erskine was quoted as saying by Sydney Morning Herald.

लगा था कि Sandpaper gate कांड हमेशा के लिए फाइलों में दब गयी है. तीन खिलाड़ियों को उसकी सजा मिल गयी. पर मामला बढ़ता ही जा रहा है. हर रोज नए बयान आने शुरू हो गए हैं. और दबाव बनना शुरू हो गया है. पूर्व खिलाड़ी कह रहे हैं कि जो बच गए थे. उन्हें फिर से सूली पर चढ़ाओ. उदाहरण के तौर पर Michael Clarke. क्लार्क तो कह रहे हैं कि गेंदबाजों को भी पता था. उनपर भी होने चाहिए. अब तीन साल पुराने केस को जिंदा कर फिर से अगर Cricket Australia सजा देता है. तो ये अपने पैर पर कुल्हाड़ी मारने जैसा होगा. Cricket Australia ने तो यहाँ तक बात छेड़ दी है कि आप हमें नई बात बताइए. हम कारवाई करेंगे. फिर से Steve Smith और David Warner को कोर्ट में घसीटा जाएगा. उनसे बयान लिए जाएंगे. और फिर से पुराने जख्म कुरेदे जाएंगे.
