Veteran Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Satav died on May 16 due to illness. He was very close to Rahul Gandhi. 46-year-old Satav was tested positive for Covid-19 last month and had been admitted to a hospital for 23 days. Satav had recovered from Covid-19 but continued to have pneumonia. The Congress leader was party General Secretary and incharge of party affairs in Gujarat.
