All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria on May 15 said that the new plants are going to set up in India by Bharat Biotech & Serum Institute of India for vaccine manufacturing.

Guleria said, “Covishield, Covaxin, Sputnik would be manufactured in India by more and more manufacturing plants. Sputnik has tied up with number of companies in India to manufacture. New plants being set up by Bharat Biotech & Serum institute. By July-Aug we'll have large number of doses available.”

“Vaccines will be available in large amounts probably in about 2 months time as companies that are making vaccines will start opening up their manufacturing plants, there'll be more vaccine."
