Vilma Santos recalls her early days as an award-winning actress.
After her first "Grand Slam" win for the movie "Relasyon" (1982), the Star for All Seasons felt invincible.
She admits that the awards quickly got to her head that she became too confident at the set of her film "Broken Marriage" (1983).
But its director, the legendary Ishmael Bernal, made sure Vilma was reminded of her place on set: "Porket nanalo ka ng Grand Slam, akala mo magaling ka na?"
From then on, Vilma remembered that a performance is only as good as the people around her.
