Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia informed that over 100 centres administering Covaxin have been closed in Delhi as the government’s stock is exhausted.

Sisodia further informed that after the Delhi government asked for 67 lakh vaccine doses each from Covaxin and Covishield, they received a reply from Covaxin manufacturing company, Bharat Biotech in which they said that the company will not be able to provide the desired amount.

“Covaxin (Bharat Biotech) wrote to us yesterday day that they can't provide. They wrote 'we're making dispatches as per directives of concerned govt officials'.

'We sincerely regret that we can't make any additional supplies as required by you', they further wrote. I don't know how much is being supplied to other states but they've written to us that they can't provide to Delhi because they have to supply as per Central Government," Sisodia said.
