Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking withdrawal of patent rights on Covaxin. He suggested that the withdrawal of the patent rights would help other manufacturers to start production of the vaccine to meet the country’s requirement.
