The 60,000 people on the AstraZeneca vaccine waiting list will be contacted by vaccination centres (PPVs) to fill appointment slots that become available due to no-shows.
Khairy Jamaluddin, the coordinating minister for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, said that on Monday (May 10), adding however that if those on the waiting list have been called up but could not make it to the appointment, the vaccines will be offered to other people at the PPV.
Khairy, who is also Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, also said PPVs will operate 7 days a week in June once there are more supplies of vaccine.
