Biden's Next 100 Days

President Biden last week marked his first 100 days in office. But what about the next 100 days? As coronavirus cases continue to drop and the economy slowly starts back up-what is coming down the tracks? We speak with Matt Klink, GOP strategist and Dan Schnur of USC. Additionally, we talk with lots of members of the public, all over the country, who are forthright with their opinions on how Biden is doing and what lies ahead.

PRESIDENT BIDEN'S APPROVAL RATING FOR HIS FIRST 100 DAYS... SITTING AT 55%...

BUTTED SOT
SOT Angela Hoffman I think I'd give joe biden and a I think that he is meeting all of his uh responsibilities, everything that he said, I think that joe biden is completing that.
I like the fact that we brought back some sort of dignity to the presidency
butted to
SOT Alexander Smith
there's some things that he delivered on vaccine being one of them actually getting the stimulus out 1:10

BUT ACCORDING TO THAT SAME REUTERS/IPSOS POLL... THAT APPROVAL RATING SHARPLY DIVIDED BASED ON PARTY POLITICS...
WHILE 90% OF DEMOCRATS APPROVE OF THE PRESIDENT... NEARLY 80% OF REPUBLICANS DO NOT ...

Butted SOT
SOT Ana Simmons But then now that he's in office, we see that it's really not what's best for everybody, it's really has um an agenda behind it
butted to
SOT Peter fox
1:05 Haven't unified the country at all? It's just as divided.
butted to
SOT Yoni
I mean everything happening with the border doesn't want to deal with it.

AND THAT SAME DIVISION... ON FULL DISPLAY IN CONGRESS... WHICH POLITICAL EXPERTS SAY MEANS AN UPHILL BATTLE FOR JOE BIDEN'S SWEEPING AGENDA...

Sot Dan Schnur
So the question is, is how he convinces the most centrist of democrats and how it convinces at least some republicans to sign on to that agenda. 06:23 We don't know the answer to that. 06:25

ANALYSTS SAY AS THE COVID CRISIS MOVES TO THE POLITICAL REARVIEW MIRROR... THE PRESIDENT'S NEXT STEPS ARE CRITICAL...

SOT Matt Klink
The Second 100 days will really set the foundation for whether his presidency will be viewed as a success or a failure

THE FIRST HURDLE... PASSING THE TWO TRILLION DOLLAR INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN... BUT IT IS ALREADY HITTING BUMPS IN THE ROAD... WITH EXPECTED OPPOSITION FROM REPUBLICANS... BUT ALSO CALLS FOR A SLIMMED DOWN BIPARTISAN PACKAGE FROM SOME CENTRIST DEMOCRATS...

AND THEN THERE IS THE CHALLENGE AT THE BORDER...

Sot Dan Schnur immigration is a perfect example of the very large space between the scale of joe biden's ambitions and the reality of a very narrowly divided Congress biden

AND WHETHER IT'S INFRASTRUCTURE, IMMIGRATION OR POLICE REFORM THAT TAKES PRIORITY IN THE COMING WEEKS... ONE THING IS FOR CERTAIN... THE 100 DAY HONEYMOON IS OVER...
