BJP MP Tejashwi Surya has exposed corrupt babus in Bengaluru, who booked beds in hospitals run by the civic body under fictitious names and then sold them for cash. Since the last 15 days, anyone who called BBMP for beds was told that there were no beds available, including oxygen and ICU beds. After hearing about the bed booking scam involving BBMP officials, Tejasvi Surya and other BJP MLAs rushed to south BBMP war room to take stock of the situation and found that BBMP officials, in nexus with outside agents, were collecting bribes to allot beds reserved under government quota for Covid-19 patients. In another story, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das proposed “On-tap liquidity” of Rs 50,000 crore with tenor up to three years at repo rate. Banks will be incentivised for quick delivery of credit under the scheme through the extension of priority sector classification to such lending. This facility will be available till March 31, 2022. These loans will be continued to classified under the 'priority sector' till repayment or maturity, whichever is earlier. Watch Newstrack with Rahul Kanwal for more!
