The ANC's Deputy Chairperson in KwaZulu-Natal, Mike Mabuyakhulu, is the first to fall on his sword, in terms of the step-aside rule. Mabuyakhulu is one of 16 people charged with corruption relating to the 28-million rand North Sea Jazz Festival in 2012, which never happened. Mabuyakhulu goes on trial in September.
