The decades-long brownouts in Occidental Mindoro has affected various sectors in the province and power provider Occidental Mindoro Electric Co. (OMECO) has not offered any solution other than scheduled rotational power interruptions.

The Manila Times interviews long-suffering residents on how these brownouts have affected their lives and livelihood as they appeal to the provincial government for relief or a permanent solution, especially in this time of the pandemic.
