The AMA has written to the Prime Minister and the Federal Health Minister, requesting they withdraw the threat of jail or fines for Australians stranded in India who attempt to return home. AMA President Dr Omar Khorshid says he doesn't believe the harsh penalties are racist but he understands how it's been perceived that way.
