Within 24 hours of the election result, violence erupted across West Bengal. The BJP office in Nandigram has been vandalised, the party has blamed TMC for the same. BJP is alleging that 9 party workers have lost their lives in post-poll violence in Bengal. Late on Monday, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) asked the West Bengal Government for a report on the post-election violence targeting opposition political workers in the state.
