Aaron Nesmith Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Hornets
  • 3 years ago
Aaron Nesmith was interviewed postgame after the Celtics’ 120-111 win vs the Charlotte Hornets. He was asked about his career night, Jaylen Brown’s ability to lead, and his willingness to put his body on the line.
Nesmith talked about how he has been able to stay ready and wait for his opportunity, with tonight being the big pay-off. “Just being patient, continuing to work hard,” he said. “I just came in and tried to do the best that I could do.”
Jaylen Brown made some comments after last night’s loss to the Thunder, and backed it up with a huge first quarter in this one. “It motivates everybody,” said Nesmith. “If he’s out there busting his tail to make plays, why can’t everybody else.”
Nesmith also spoke about why he’s so willing to put his body on the line to make plays. When asked about why he doesn’t care if he gets hurt he responded with, “I definitely care” and laughed a bit. He went on to say that he’s always willing to “put my body on the line to make a play happen… if there’s a ball on the ground I’m going to get it 100% of the time.”
