Evan Fournier Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Nets
  • 3 years ago
Evan Fournier was interviewed postgame after the Celtics’ 109-104 loss vs the Brooklyn Nets. This was Fournier’s first game back after missing nine in a row due to COVID-19.
Fournier shot 0-7 from the field in his return, but a slow start was to be expected coming off of such a draining illness. Fournier was asked about what he took away from his first game back. “I just got here and I need reps to play with the guys,” he said. “The most important thing is to be out there… it’s going to be hard obviously… I gotta fight through it and push through it… that’s the only way I’m going to feel better at some point.”
He also talked about what he did during quarantine and whether or not he watched a bunch of game tape. “Obviously I was watching the games,” Fournier said. “It’s more about getting used to playing with the guys.”
Fournier was asked about his experience with COVID. “The first two days I was doing great,” he said. “Then for four, five days, flu-like symptoms… so I honestly stayed in bed and slept all day for four, five days… I’m going to be tired, but that’s positive, that’s good.”
