Celtics Injury Report UPDATE
Brad Stevens was interviewed after the Celtics’ practice on April 21. They have two back-to-back games coming up on Thursday and Friday vs the Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets.
Stevens began the interview by giving health/injury updates for the team. “Oh man,” he started. “Kemba did not practice… hopefully he’ll be able to go tomorrow; Jaylen is doubtful for tomorrow; Smart was back; Evan Fournier was in the building but he’s still in health and safety protocols; Rob tried to do a little bit more and won’t be able to go tomorrow either.”
He also commented on the team’s plan with vaccinating their staff. “Many of our team travel party coaching staff have been vaccinated,” he said. Restrictions on vaccination availability have recently been loosened in Massachusetts.
The George Floyd trial reached a verdict yesterday, with Derek Chauvin being found guilty on all three accounts. Stevens gave his statement on the matter. “I’m very happy with the verdict,” he said. There is “a lot more to do… I think yesterday felt like a step in the right direction.”
