PM Modi interacts with vaccine manufacturers; Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal claims serious oxygen crisis again; more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with vaccine manufacturers from across the country via video conferencing and urged them to continuously scale up the production capacity so that everyone in India can be vaccinated as soon as possible. Commending the scientists for their efforts, PM Modi credited them for developing and manufacturing vaccines in record time. Noting the fact that vaccines manufactured in India are the cheapest, PM Modi said that India the world's largest vaccine programme is underway in India. In the other story, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday once again urged the Centre to provide oxygen to the national capital, saying that hospitals are facing acute shortage due to an overwhelming surge in Covid-19 infections. Taking to Twitter, the Delhi CM wrote, "Serious oxygen crisis persists in Delhi. I again urge centre to urgently provide oxygen to Delhi. Some hospitals just left with few hours of oxygen."
