Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on April 18 said that production of Remdesivir would be doubled in 15 days to 3 lakh vials per day keeping in view the unprecedented demand due to persisting COVID-situation. Mansukh said, “Govt is working on scaling up Remdesivir production & its price reduction. 1.5 lakh vials/day being produced and will be doubled up to 3 lakh vials/day in 15 days. 20 more plants approved for production in addition to existing 20.”
