Marcus Smart Welcomes Jabari Parker
Marcus Smart was interviewed postgame after the Celtics’ 119-114 win vs the Golden State Warriors. He talked about his clutch, late-game play, Jayson Tatum’s dominance, and Jabari Parker’s debut.
Smart got a clutch offensive rebound that led to a big-time three from him. “I rushed a majority of my shots tonight so that one I just wanted to make sure I got my feet under me and take my time,” he said. “It paid off; it was worth it.”
He also talked about his teammate Jayson Tatum, who has been having a string of stellar performances. “It’s incredible,” he said. “It’s definitely been a pleasure to be a part of.”
Jabari Parker made his debut for the Celtics in this one, scoring 11 points off the bench. Smart talked about what advice the team gave him before the game. “We just told him to go out there and play as hard as he can,” he said. “Once he gets more involved into the plays everything else will come… we’re proud of him.”
