'Stateless' new-born twins stuck in South Africa as Namibia denies travel papers
  • il y a 3 ans
One month-old twins Maya and Paula are blissfully unaware of the turbulence surrounding their Namibian citizenship status. They are daughters of a gay couple, born through surrogacy by a South African woman. Since their birth on March 13 the twins have not been able to rejoin their other father and brother in Namibia, because the government wants the parents to prove their biological link to the infants in order to establish citizenship.
