Jaylen Brown was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 120-113 win vs the Los Angeles Lakers. Brown had a game-high 40 points. He is the first player in Celtics franchise history to score 40 points on at least 85% shooting from the field. He also set an NBA record for highest field goal percentage while taking 20+ shots in a game.
Brown was asked about how he felt going into the game. “Just wanted to come out and be aggressive,” he said. “Celtics, Lakers matchup is a matchup that kids dream about… we just wanted to come out and get a win.”
He also spoke about the team’s ball movement lately. “Just play basketball, play the right way,” he said. “We’re just getting some more rhythm… this is the most consistency we’ve had.”
Brown was asked about veteran teammates Kemba Walker and Tristan Thompson. “Two great teammates,” he said. “Kemba, always smiling and his energy speaks for itself… Tristan, just a great teammate overall… always somebody that will pick you up.”
