Michele Murray is an experienced news, sports, and entertainment programming executive from Philadelphia, PA. For the past several decades, she has worked tirelessly to bring each network she’s worked for her all.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Michele attended and graduated from the University of Hawaii before returning home to Philadelphia in 1994 to pursue her career. She built her experience and portfolio first as the Producer, then as the Executive Producer, of KYW—one of the oldest radio stations in America—for five years. She then moved to New York City, where she lived for four years and worked for two different stations: Fox News TV as Senior Producer, and WCBS as Senior Manager of News and Specials and Assistant News Director.

Michele Murray acted as news director for WCBS during the 9/11 tragedy, where the network’s coverage of what happened earned an Edward R. Murrow Award. This would be the first of many times Michele would lead a network toward receiving such a prestigious award.

She spent a year in Chicago after leaving WCBS to be the News Director for NBC Sports Chicago, then moved back to New York City to be the News Director of SportsNet New York. In 2005, Michele Murray began working for CSN Philadelphia, and since then, she has built her reputation and the reputation of the network through her expertise and leadership skills.

Michele Murray has overseen every area of CSN’s news programs first as Vice President, News Programming, then as Vice President of Content and Programming in 2017. Some programs she’s overseen include Emmy-Award winning ones like SportsNet Central and Philly Sports Talk and pre and post-game programs and specials. During her tenure with CSN Philadelphia, she has led the network to earn not one but six Edward R. Murrow Awards.

As Vice President of Content and Programming, it is Michele Murray’s job to lead the network’s portfolio of multi-platform content in ways that compel both new and existing fans to consume the network’s content while keeping up with the ever-changing media landscape. This includes online, mobile, and social assets for the network.

Her time with CSN Philadelphia, in addition to her many years as a news executive beforehand, has made Michele Murray the perfect person for her role, leading the network to thrive and succeed under her management.
