The shortage of COVID-19 vaccine is not a problem in the country but "mismanagement" of it by states is one, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday. The government confirmed that smaller states get vaccine supply in 8-9 days while bigger states get it on the 5th day. During a press briefing, Union Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said the total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses received by the states stands at 13.10 crore while total consumption, including the wastage, is 11.43 crore.
