Grant Williams Postgame Press Conference | Celtics vs Nuggets
  • 3 years ago
Grant Williams was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 105-87 comeback win vs the Denver Nuggets. Williams played a huge role and was asked about how he stays ready to play in his postgame press conference.
“I just try to use my resources to stay ready,” said Williams. “I’m always going to be there for my teammates when their number is called and I know they’ll be there for me when it’s my night.” Williams played just under 20 minutes in the Celtics’ win.
Williams also spoke about the difficulties of guarding MVP frontrunner Nikola Jokic. He said that they were trying to make it harder on him to find open passing lanes. “We were getting back-cut a lot of the time,” said Williams. “I had Rob [Williams] to protect behind me. So, I just tried to make it harder on him.”
Boston made it a point to always make the right play down the stretch. Williams commented on their mindset and what the game plan was in that regard. “We just have to make the right read,” said Williams. “Keep the ball moving and keep attacking… I think that’s what we did most of the fourth quarter.”
