People demanding removal of age limit of Corona Vaccination!

During the first wave, it 110 days for corona to reach 8 thousand to 97000 cases, but during the second wave, it took only 62 days to reach that many cases. The people of the country are now demanding that the age limit for the corona vaccine be removed. Yet why is the government not willing to make the change?
