70 pokies approved for Werribee despite local opposition

70 new pokies have been approved for the Werribee region in Melbourne's west despite opposition from the local council which says residents are losing millions of dollars to gambling. Councillor Josh Gilligan says there needs to be a wider commitment to ensure sports clubs aren't dependent on pokies revenue.
