Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting has confirmed that if Steve Smith gets into the playing XI he will bat in the top three in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). With Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and South Africa pace duo Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje in red-hot form, Smith has to battle it out for the one overseas spot. "I think the fact that he's been released from the franchise that he's been at for a long time will make him a bit hungry as well this year," cricket.com.au quoted Ponting as saying.
