Doc Rivers Pregame Interview | Celtics vs 76ers
  • 3 years ago
Former Celtics Head Coach and current 76ers Head Coach Doc Rivers spoke with media in his pregame interview about how the 76ers fared without Joel Embiid during his injury. Rivers said that the roster has grown in order to overcome that adversity, and worked together as a team and believed in one another to step up. Coach Rivers said that many teams are dealing with the grind of this season complicated by COVID and safety protocols, stating that the 76ers need to find ways to win tough games when they aren't playing their "a-game". In terms of mental toughness, Rivers said that this season has put players under stress due to testing protocols and lack of practices, so teams are forced to make the most out of shootarounds to try and build chemistry and getting comfortable. Doc also said that they need to get Joel Embiid back in a rhythm and help him kick off the rust so they all can get on the same page.
