tere pahlu mein kyun hota hai mahsus
ki tujh se dur hota ja raha hun

jo uljhi thi kabhi aadam ke hathon
wo gutthi aaj tak suljha raha hun

mohabbat ab mohabbat ho chali hai
tujhe kuchh bhulta sa ja raha hun

ye sannaTa hai mere panw ki chap
firaq' apni kuchh aahaT pa raha hun

ترے پہلو میں کیوں ہوتا ہے محسوس
کہ تجھ سے دور ہوتا جا رہا ہوں

جو الجھی تھی کبھی آدم کے ہاتھوں
وہ گتھی آج تک سلجھا رہا ہوں

محبت اب محبت ہو چلی ہے
تجھے کچھ بھولتا سا جا رہا ہوں

یہ سناٹا ہے میرے پاؤں کی چاپ
فراقؔ اپنی کچھ آہٹ پا رہا ہوں
