The Indian cricket board has suffered a blow a week ahead of the IPL with multiple people involved with the tournament in Mumbai returning Covid-19 positive over the last few days. Delhi Capitals' Axar Patel has tested positive along with 10 groundsmen at the Wankhede stadium and seven members from BCCI's IPL organizing team.Mumbai is slated to host the second match of this year's IPL on April 10.

मुंबई में कोविड-19 के मामलों में तेजी से बढ़ोतरी तथा वानखेड़े स्टेडियम के 10 कर्मचारियों और प्रतियोगिता प्रबंधन से जुड़े छह सदस्यों के इस घातक वायरस से पॉजीटिव पाये जाने के बावजूद भारतीय क्रिकेट बोर्ड को 10 से 25 अप्रैल के बीच इस शहर में इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग मैचों के आयोजन की उम्मीद है। कोरोवा वायरस की स्थिति यदि नियंत्रण से बाहर चली जाती है तो फिर इंदौर और हैदराबाद को आईपीएल के 'स्टैंड बाई स्थान के रूप में रखा गया है। मुंबई को इस लीग के 10 मैचों की मेजबानी करनी है। महाराष्ट्र में शुक्रवार को 47000 मामले दर्ज किये गये और वहां संभावित लॉकडाउन की स्थिति नजर आ रही है।
