Artefacts linked to Melaka Sultanate sent to US for tests

Archaeology buff Datuk Dr Dionysius SK Sharma said the recently unearthed remnants of a wooden vessel and other artefacts could be linked to the last ruler of Melaka, Sultan Mahmud Shah who reigned from 1488 to 1511 AD.
He said the remnants have been sent to the United States to determine the actual age of the timber through laboratory tests.
