Amitabh Bachchan shares throwback picture on Holi
Amitabh Bachchan posted a throwback picture on Twitter, featuring his wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan and quoted his iconic Holi song, 'Rang Barse'.
In the monochrome image, a much younger Amitabh was seen doused in colours and smiling, as Jaya placed baby Abhishek on his shoulders.
The caption read, “Rang barse bheege chunar wali rang barse”
Rang Barse was picturised on Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha and Sanjeev Kumar in the 1981 film Silsila. Even after decades, Rang Barse remains one of the favourite tracks being played during Holi across India. The track was sung by Amitabh Bachchan. His father and poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan wrote the lyrics of the song.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Bachchan will appear in 'Chehre', 'Jhund', 'Brahmāstra', 'Butterfly' and 'Mayday'.
'Chehre' is a mystery thriller film directed by Rumi Jafry also starring Emraan Hashmi, Krystle D'Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Raghubir Yadav in other pivotal roles. It sees Bachchan playing a lawyer, while Hashmi a business tycoon. The film is being produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited.
The release of the film has been preponed to 9th April 2021 from its earlier scheduled date of 30th April.
