Ancient oak trees felled to rebuild the spire of Notre Dame
  • 3 years ago
The first steps are being taken to rebuild the famous spire of Notre Dame Cathedral exactly as it was, before it was destroyed by fire nearly two years ago. Around a thousand giant oak trees, in the Domaine de Berce, near Le Mans, are being cut down so they can be crafted into the new structure which will one day take its place in the Parisian skyline.
