Was Evan Fournier Best Use for Celtics Trade Exception?
Evan Fournier arrived to save the Celtics season, or so they hope, from the Orlando Magic with ball-handling, shooting and some size on the perimeter. He makes $17 million, so the Celtics trade effectively ate all of the trade exception save for about $11 million that could be used later. Fournier is also a free agent at the end of the year, and even though he only cost two second round picks, he also cost Daniel Theis in a luxury tax casualty and did not come paired with Aaron Gordon. The Garden Report reacted to the move.
