Sloane Stephens suffered a scare in her WTA Miami Open first round match against France's Oceane Dodin on Wednesday, before the 2017 US Open champion prevailed in three sets, 6-7(8), 6-4, 6-2, to set up a second round meeting with fellow American and 28th seed Amanda Anisimova.
