At present, people are very upset due to the lack of a bridge to connect Jorhat with Majuli. The local people are facing a lot of problems due to the bridge.

चुनाव आयोग की ओर से 5 राज्यों में चुनाव की तारीखों के ऐलान के साथ ही सत्ता की लड़ाई का बिगुल बज चुका है। असम, पश्चिम बंगाल, केरल, तमिलनाडु और पुडुचेरी में चुनाव के नतीजे 2 मई को एक साथ ही घोषित किए जाएंगे। इन 5 राज्यों के चुनाव नतीजे देश में सत्ता के समीकरणों में भी 5 बड़े बदलाव ला सकते हैं. फिलहाल जोरहाट को माजुली से जोड़ने के लिए पुल के अभाव से लोग काफी परेशान हैं। स्थानीय लोगों को पुल ने होने के चलते काफी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
